Vinmonopolet Tromsø – Courses and Educational Tastings

Vinmonopolet in Tromsø offers a focused programme of guided tasting courses designed to build understanding through sensory exploration and comparison. The courses are led by Vinmonopolet’s own trained experts and are structured to be engaging and accessible regardless of prior knowledge.

Each course includes five carefully selected products and focuses on tasting technique, style recognition and practical understanding. From February to May 2026, three courses are held in Tromsø. All courses take place at Scandic Ishavshotel and run from 18:00 to 20:00.

10 February 2026 – Learn to Taste Red Wine

Event name: Learn to Taste Red Wine

Description:
An introductory course designed to help participants better understand their own taste preferences. Through guided tasting, you will learn how to recognise structure, balance and key flavour components in red wine. The session focuses on tasting technique and provides practical tools for identifying grape varieties and styles.

10 March 2026 – Learn to Taste White Wine

Event name: Learn to Taste White Wine

Description:
This course introduces the fundamentals of white wine tasting. Participants learn how sweetness, acidity and texture influence style and character, while developing confidence in tasting technique and style recognition through guided comparison.

5 May 2026 – Rosé Wine

Event name: Rosé Wine

Description:
An introduction to rosé wine and its many expressions. The course explains how rosé is produced, why styles differ and how colour, structure and flavour are connected. Participants taste five different rosé wines and gain a clearer understanding of this versatile category.
