Vinmonopolet Hamar – Courses and Tastings

Vinmonopolet offers a small but focused programme of guided wine tasting courses in Hamar. These courses are designed for those who want to explore wine in a structured and educational setting, led by Vinmonopolet’s own trained experts.

From January to March 2026, three courses are held in Hamar. All courses last two hours, from 18:30 to 20:30, and take place at Vinmonopolets kurslokale.

Each course includes tastings of five carefully selected wines, served blind, and participants receive a tasting booklet for personal notes.

Learn to taste red wine

This introductory course focuses on developing a better understanding of red wine through guided tasting. During the session, you will learn how factors such as grape variety, acidity, tannins and body influence the character of a wine. The course emphasises tasting technique and helps you recognise different styles and expressions. It is ideal for anyone who wants to build confidence when tasting and choosing red wine.

Classic Italian red wine

Italy is one of the world’s most diverse and influential wine countries. In this course, we explore classic Italian red wines and discuss how regional differences shape flavour and structure. Through guided tastings, you will learn how climate, grape varieties and winemaking traditions influence wines from different parts of Italy, with a particular focus on well-known regions and styles.

Red wine from Tuscany

This course offers a deeper look into red wines from Tuscany, one of Italy’s most iconic wine regions. Over the course of two hours, you will taste five different wines blind and explore how grapes, origin and production methods shape Tuscan wine styles. The course also includes a tasting booklet, allowing you to record impressions and develop your own tasting vocabulary.

Registration is binding and tickets cannot be refunded or transferred to another course or date. Please ensure that you have selected the correct course, location and date before completing your booking.

Participants must be 18 years or older to attend wine courses and 20 years or older for spirits courses. Valid identification must be presented upon request. If age cannot be verified, participation may be denied without refund.
